SKELETON (DRESS)
Inspired by the quiet transformation of decaying leaves, this piece explores the intersection of nature and design. While doing yard work, I was drawn to partially decomposed leaves — their asymmetry, skeletal outlines, and the balance between positive and negative space. These organic forms informed the silhouette and detailing of a silk gown, where the fabric mirrors the fragility and complexity found in natural decay. The design emphasizes materiality, spatial contrast, and the subtle beauty in impermanence — translating a fleeting natural process into a refined, wearable form.
